The EACH Coalition submitted comments ahead of the Stakeholder Meeting held on September 24th urging for increased patient engagement and calling attention to shortcomings in the redlined Affordability Review Rule.
The letter expressed concerns with mechanisms in place during the first round of drug reviews, including inadequate patient outreach and problems with the patient engagement survey. The letter urged the CO PDAB and staff to make further revisions to the Affordability Review Rule to address the issues raised by patient organizations and ensure patient perspectives are a critical part of the affordability review process.
