Patient Survey

Share Your Perspective

Policy makers say they are addressing your needs but how can they if they don’t know what your needs are?

Patients have created this extensive survey to capture your experience with prescription drugs.

We will share these results with policymakers so they can better understand what patients need and want from health policies.

We are dedicated to ensuring ALL patient experiences are counted. Please set aside approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Reforming healthcare in our country is a vital need, and policymakers at every level are trying new approaches and implementing new policies. Unfortunately, patient voices are often left out of the deliberation process or only gathered after the fact. We want to change that, but we need your help and your input!

The Patient Inclusion Council (PIC), an organization led by patients and caregivers, worked with research professionals and patient organizations to create a comprehensive survey for patients and caregivers. We aim to capture extensive input from patients on why a prescription drug is affordable, unaffordable, accessible, or not accessible.

We will share these results with policymakers to help shape health reform proposals to better address problems patients report about getting the care and medication they need. Specifically, we will share the survey responses with Prescription Drug Affordability Boards (PDABs), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and state legislators so they can better understand what patients need and want from their cost review and price setting initiatives.

Your answers will go to patients leading the PIC. You also have the opportunity to continue conversations with them after completing the survey if you choose.

Who should take this in-depth survey? We encourage all people living in the United States and who use prescription drugs/medications – including caregivers if the patient is unable to complete –  to participate. Please share it with your family, friends, coworkers, and members of your community. Help us help you!

The PIC is committed to social justice, racial justice, health equity, inclusion, and ensuring drug affordability policies always consider patient-reported needs first. To achieve our goals, we need to hear from all patients and caregivers, those from every race, ethnicity, education level, gender identity, rural or city location, those who often have a voice and any whose voices are often not heard. It is okay if you don’t know much about health policy. The only expertise you need is your experience with prescription drugs.
