In response to the Maryland PDAB’s request for comments on their draft plan on Upper Payment Limits, the EACH Coalition submitted comments to the board outlining recommendations to address concerns of patient organizations and to protect patients from unintended consequences.
The letter including recommendations urging the board to impose rigorous standards and act with caution, consider alternative policy solutions, ensure the affordability review and UPL processes remain separated, and focus on patient needs and outcomes.
