The EACH Coalition submitted comments to the board providing input on the Maryland Upper Payment Limit Action Plan ahead of the October 28th board meeting
The letter urged the board to consider and approve alternative policy interventions before proceeding with cost reviews and implementation of UPLs. Further, the letter highlighted concerns with the plan including potential negative impacts on patients, and urged the board to implement patient protections against increased utilization management.
